Some Greeks Just Do It...
Whoever knows me and follows my pages and media or my endeavors with regards to Blue Zones in Greece and also tropical islands, knows I have a heart for freedom.
Abundanism started with minimalism. Because minimalism is sustainable for all and gives me an abundance of experiences, travel with locals, freedom, and nature-connection. My main topics became homes though. Belonging. Healthy cities need sponge soils and the landowners can get carbon credits for that to make the transition financable. Healthy buildings make healthy people and I was dancing with architects and BREEAM certifications for years and years.
And now, I have a new team who wants to contribute. A Greek buyer-real-estate team. Under the Greek Sun is doing what others just dream about. 4 Steps - No surprises. Opening up the "sometimes a bit toxic" market of Greek architecture for ALL. Simple steps. Simple routines.
But, we do more. I'm saying "we" because I just entered their ESG-team. Innovative ESG, not just law compliance but much more ambitious. Returning belonging to society and ALL.
Thalpori - Return to Belonging in Greece
We are building Thalpori-NGO next to Under The Greek Sun and that means you will be part of a community of do-gooders too. Blue Zone Designers. Healthy building architecture innovations, together with places offered to people in a bad spot. People whoned homes but can't afford them. People coming out of a toxic relationship but don't have the funds to rent expensive rentals. Mothers with kids who need help to get back on their feet.
On my abundance is a dance website, I will write about all the aspects of belonging and affording. In my media, I will write more and more about Greece, because I'm impressed with their social sciences, their vision and their "Just Do It Philosophy". I'm impressed with their Greek willingness to JUST DO IT it with Greeks, for Greece, and ask for help from outsiders like me.
I'm a humble Dutch Design supporter from more Northern territories and Soul in ESG-Sciences.
Mike and I love Greece, we feel at home here! Greece is roots of sciences. Greece is roots of social philosophy. So, it might be logical that Greece has these projects for Greeks who need support and a roof over their head too. It's not just about building homes and hospitals for them though. CEO Carly Gianakas has a vision to include (para)medical pampering too.
Psychological help. Deep tissue massage. Childcare. Build-up of regained confidence and courage to brave the wilderness again, like Brene Brown so often told us too. The courage for go our own way, make life your own dance and dare to solotravel.
