Writing on the Beach

The afternoon starts at 1 PM in Castle View Studios, Paralio Astros. We meet each other over coffee or tea. There is space for 8 people max. But if you miss out, don't worry, we will have the next events, and next, and next...

1.30 PM - we walk to the beach using all our senses. Smells, taste, sound, sight, touching. We untangle emotions.

After that, we flow with the group. We will do a bit of rhythm. We will enjoy the weather, whatever it is. We can walk barefoot into the sea. We will hear how sounds go and see light reflections. We'll show how seas absorb sounds and how mountains reflect sound. During our flow, you get little writing prompts. We write short bursts. And we recite them to the sea at some point.

3.30 PM At the end of the afternoon, we will train our courage muscles and recite what we wrote in the open-air amphitheater. Make a little performance out of it. Nothing fancy. Just for the group. Grow your courage muscles. Any language is possible. This workshop is about daring to create and be heard. 

The aim of our group is to create a safe space and end with a brave space. Nothing is weird, you know. And I'll give you little exercises of journaling with landscapes to take home.

Bring your water bottle, a notebook & pen. And everything else you need for your comfort. A shawl to sit on if you wish.

At 5 PM you can stay for a drink in Castle View Bar if you like.
